JANUARY
What a great way to start off the new year.  Our football team has made it into the playoffs for the first time in a decade. And the gals went to the game! Ana got to attend a "chalk talk" with her most favorite QB of all time; see the pictures here. And as the team advanced to the second playoff game, the gals couldn't be more excited. Sadly, this wasn't to be the year they went to the SuperBowl, but it was a great run!!

Ana is one of four Co-Producers for the last show of the season at their theatre, Grand Hotel. Auditions occurred at the end of the month, and it's going to be a great show! Ana also "auditioned" for an opportunity to be a part-time tour guide narrator, a paying gig! First ride will be next month.

The gals got to dog-sit at the end of the month too. Spectre was their visitor while Janet vacationed.

Shows they've seen with or starring friends: Ana ushered and watched many of their friends in a production of Finian's Rainbow.

FEBRUARY
Honk, the Junior Production, opened the same night Ana provided the running narrative on the tour bus from South San Jose to Mountain View; isn't that just the way it goes - when it rains it pours! But she got to both very important events. After all, she has to meet her obligations as the Board President as well.

For the first time in nearly 30 years, Ana is picking up her French Horn again to play in a band. She will be joining her sister in a community band, which has a concert in mid-May. Hurray! Also, she ended up getting a small part in the production of Grand Hotel. Since she has to be there as a producer, she may as well do something on stage, right?

Shows they've seen with or starring friends: Ana saw a production of Give 'Em Hell, Harry in Palo Alto; what a great one-man show! She also saw friends in Crossing Delancey, which is just a very charming dramedy.

MARCH
Ana house managed for 4 more productions of the junior show Honk. She had a great time doing the narration for the tour around the valley. Band practices with Janet have been a lot of fun as well. At the end of the month Ana took advantage of a 1/2 price tour around San Francisco on a Segway personal transport vehicle - what fun! [pictures]

Movies and plays they've seen with or featuring friends: Ana caught a limited movie presentation of the Phantom sequel Love Never Dies; a production of Seussical Jr. where the tail she made for Joyce's production was used by this new cast; she saw some of their friends in All Shook Up; a limited movie presentation of Casablanca, celebrating its 70th birthday; several of their friends were in a production of The Drowsy Chaperone.  [NEXT]
