As we were waiting for the show to start, we watched the "commercials" going by. Here was the one advertising the day's event.

After the movie, we stepped into a conference room, and Dean joined us there. He was schmoozing the crowd until the presentation started.

Here Dean is showing his video and picture presentation about his best "friend", Jojo, a wild dolphin who lives off the coast of Turks & Caicos in the British West Indies. Dean and Jojo swim together every day.

Here Dean has a young volunteer helping to show us the kind of equipment you would need to go out and visit with the wild creatures of the deep.

Dean asked Joyce to be a volunteer. Here he is asking her what kind of food she thinks Jojo would like to eat. There's a picture of a spiny lobster on the projection screen, and of course the plastic octopus in the foreground.
The answer: Jojo likes octopus, and crab and lobster when they are in
soft- or no-shell mode.

During the presentation, the emergency fire detector went off, and we were shuttled out of the building. After about 20 minutes, they let us back in the building, and Dean picked up where he left off. At the end of the presentation, Dean let us know where we could find Jojo on the web  (http://www.jojodolphin.org) and signed a copy of a CD with some cool software. What a great day, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Joyce to meet a really important person who cares alot about the world we live in.
